Hydrosols are produced during the extraction of essential oils through steam distillation. For SHABANU‘s rose hydrosol, Damask rose petals
are gently distilled in a copper kettle. The rose petals are carefully
hand-picked early in the morning. This traditional manufacturing process, done entirely by hand, makes the rose water especially precious. It contains the water-soluble components of the plant and traces of the essential oil. As a result, hydrosols have characteristics similar to essential oils, but they are milder and gentler.
